The psychiatric evaluation is a structured comprehensive interview, focused on signs and symptoms, of an individual’s biological, mental, and social functioning. During the assessment, symptoms will be classified according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) criteria to determine if there is a psychiatric diagnosis and to develop a personalize treatment plan that can include medication management and/or psychotherapy.
